About Us

Like many border collies, our dog Jessie is ball mad!  She insists on playing with her ball during all walks. Jessie’s eyesight isn’t what it used to be (she is 12 years old) and she struggles to see the ball in dim light or darkness.  The winter months are especially difficult being dark both morning and evening.

I searched for a flashing dog ball that she could see both in dim light and during night time walks.  I  wanted to make sure that the ball was designed for dogs and would withstand a reasonable amount of chewing.  I also wanted the flashing ball to fit into my Chuckit ball thrower.

The Sergeants Fetch n Flash ball ppeared to tick all the boxes for a robust, quality, flashing, light-up dog ball, so I bought one to try out.  I was somewhat shocked to see it flash when I extracted it from the delivery packaging, worried that the batteries may not last very long.  The Fetch n Flash ball lasted the entire winter, probably as use was limited to our walks in the dark.  When the battery did finally expire several months later the ball was great for daytime use.  The one flashing ball was a great investment as it had outlasted many tennis balls.

Glo-balls was established when UK supply of the flashing Fetch n Flash ball became scarce.  We have since added new lines to provide more choice for our customers and many of them are UK manufactured.  We are always keen to hear about any night or high visibility dog product so please email us with suggestions.

We are a small little internet business based in Taunton, Somerset and our aim is to offer the best price and customer service.  We don ‘t have a shop but we do attend some country shows and Discover Dogs in London Earls Court.

We do get regular emails from dog charities for support, requesting free products or a monetary donation.  Although we would love to help we are not yet in a profitable position and therefore are unable to assist at this time and do not always have the opportunity to respond to each request.

RIP Jessie - Died 24-12-2011 aged 13 1/2
